  • With the continuous improvement of the precision and quality requirements of parts in the automobile industry, the traditional manual inspection method has been difficult to meet the demand. With the advantages of high precision, high efficiency and stability, robot inspection tools are gradually widely used in automobile parts inspection.

    A fixture system combining multi-axis robot and high-precision measuring sensor is adopted. The robot has multiple degrees of freedom, and can flexibly move to various detection positions of the intake manifold. The measuring sensor is installed at the end of the robot arm, which can accurately measure the size and geometry of the part.

    When working, the robot first moves to the first detection point of the intake manifold according to the preset program, and the sensor begins to measure and transmit the data to the control system in real time. Then, the robot detects all parts of the intake manifold in turn according to the predetermined path to ensure that all key detection points are fully covered.

    Detection process and advantages

    During the inspection, the robot can operate with extremely high precision and speed. Compared with manual detection, it can avoid measurement errors caused by human factors, such as visual fatigue and hand trembling. Moreover, the robot can work continuously, which greatly improves the detection efficiency.
