An official from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China said on Monday (November 10th) that industrial robots and humanoid robots will be promoted into factories, focusing on the complicated and harsh production environment in the fields of mining, civil explosion and emergency response to promote robot products, so as to improve the level of intelligent operation in dangerous and harsh environments.

According to China News Service, Yao Jun, director of the Planning Department of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said at a regular briefing on the State Council policy held in Beijing on Monday that the document issued by the General Office of the State Council was recently released to the public, which was related to speeding up the cultivation and opening up of new scenes and promoting the large-scale application of new scenes.

Yao Jun said that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology attaches great importance to the cultivation of key areas, gives full play to the advantages of China's super-large-scale market, complete industrial system and rich application scenarios, and accelerates the large-scale development of emerging industries.

He revealed that the government will implement the "Sailing" action of 5G large-scale application, deepen the construction of 5G factories in key industries for large, medium and small enterprises, promote integrated and intensive solutions, and develop and promote key application scenarios such as machine vision quality inspection, remote equipment control and flexible manufacturing.

The official will also study and issue the implementation opinions of the "Artificial Intelligence+Manufacturing" special action to promote the extension of artificial intelligence to manufacturing R&D, design, manufacturing, management decision-making, operation and maintenance services and other links.

Yao Jun also pointed out that China will further implement the "Robot Plus" application action and expand the application depth and breadth of robots. These include promoting industrial robots and humanoid robots into factories, and giving priority to landing applications in sub-scenes such as welding, assembly, spraying and handling.

China will also focus on the complex and harsh production environment in mining, civil explosion, emergency and other fields to promote robot products and improve the level of intelligent operation in dangerous and harsh environments.

At the same time, the government will also study and introduce an action plan for the integration of industrial Internet and artificial intelligence, create an upgraded version of "5G+ Industrial Internet", and implement the "chain-network collaboration" project between industrial Internet and key industrial chains. Study and introduce policies to promote the development of spatio-temporal information industry, deepen the pilot project of Beidou scale application city, and accelerate the integration and innovation of Beidou and mobile communication, inertial navigation and high-precision vision.
